Position: Sous Chef / Baker

Term: Seasonal, May 11 – September 2, 2019

This exciting new position will provide you with the opportunity to work under our Red Seal Executive Chef in a fast paced and exciting environment.

As the Sous Chef & Baker you will be a key member of our Food & Beverage Leadership team, and be involved in the daily operations and Supervision of our Bakeshop & Cafe. In addition to this you will assist with leading the BOH operations for our other 6 F&B outlets.

Daily duties will include:

  • Early morning receiving and storage of the day’s stock items
  • Baking all the goods for the Café and Bake shop .
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintain throughout the day while maintaining waste targets.
  • Carry out food audits at all outlets to ensure quality consistency, as required.
  • Assist in the day to day management of the staff during production in the main kitchen.

Position Requirements:

  • The ability to supervise and coach 10-20 employees at one time
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong Guest Service skills
  • Food Safety Knowledge & Training
  • A passion for the Culinary Arts
  • Certified Food Handler (If candidate does not currently hold their certificate, we will pay for the training & certification)

Position: Food & Beverage Supervisor

Term: Seasonal, May 11 –  October 27, 2019

This exciting position will provide you with the opportunity to work in a fast paced and exciting environment under the mentorship of our seasoned Food & Beverage Manager who also happens to be a Red Seal Chef!

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor you will be a key member of our Food & Beverage Leadership team, and be involved in the daily operations and Supervision of our 8 Food & Beverage Outlets.

Daily duties will include:

  • Opening each outlet on time and ensuring the outlet’s readiness
  • Set up the daily cash floats and ensure all staff is in place
  • Coordinating break coverage for all outlets during the day
  • Perform audits of all outlets throughout the day, to ensure cleanliness, adherence to protocol, temperature checks of food areas and monitor and adjust all inventory levels
  • Close down each outlet, cash out the cashiers, and drop the floats in the vault daily

Position: Sportsland Supervisor

The Sportsland Supervisor is an energetic, driven individual with an outgoing positive attitude, and superior guest service skills. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations including attractions, staffing, training team members, and managing the guest experience by ensuring that we are always delivering a fun and exciting experience for our guests.

Daily duties will include:

  • Supervise the closing of Sportsland. (Cash out the cashiers, transport floats to the vault and ensure attractions and facilities have been properly closed).
  • Coordinate break coverage for all Sportsland staff during the day.
  • Perform audits throughout the day to ensure cleanliness, adherence to protocol, temperature checks of food areas, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • The ability to supervise and coach 5-10 employees at one time.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong Guest Service skills
  • Food Safety Knowledge & Training
  • Certified Food Handler (if candidate does not currently hold their certificate, we will pay for the training & certification)
  • This position is primarily an evening position and will require working until 10:00pm most days.
